Speaker Biography

Jimmy Mills

Jimmy is part of IBM's new Cloud Sales Center (CSC) - the part of IBM headquarters which provides account strategy assistance for large, complex, multi-brand cloud sales opportunities. He also expedites pre-sales support to clients, partners and IBM sales teams. He has been part winning sales teams in San Jose, Singapore, Switzerland, Sydney and Tokyo. Before this Jimmy led business development for IBM's cloud computing solution Computing on Demand (CoD) — a pay-as-you-go infrastructure solution which rents computing power by the hour, day, week or month. Its clients finished larger projects faster and handled more projects simultaneously - with no additional capital or operational investment. He helped achieve major wins in government, financial services and life sciences accounts. Previously Jimmy led the go to market for IBM's innovative 3D visual collaboration solution (Deep Computing Visualization) and built a viral and collaborative network of regional pre-sales, sales and business partner support resources. In his role of high performance computing life sciences market leader, Jimmy organized and executed IBM's first ever Virtual Life Sciences Expo which attracted 682 registered attendees from 36 countries. Prior to this he was instrumental in the start-up and growth of 350-person offshore software development operation for Fortune 50 banking and insurance clients. Jimmy has worked in international project management, vertical market solution implementation and full lifecycle application development. He started his career as an electrical engineer at Intel.
